Work continues on the improvements at The Daly Ground
Whitehill & Bordon FC has taken another important step forward this week as work continues on the next stage of improvements at The Daly Ground.
As part of the club’s long-term plans to progress up the football pyramid, upgrades are now underway to help the ground move closer to meeting FA ground grading requirements, which are essential for promotion to the next level of non-league football.
The latest phase of work focuses on the installation of new pathways and hard standing areas around the ground. These improvements will support the future installation of a covered stand and turnstiles, both key elements required to meet higher ground grading standards.
Building the Infrastructure for the Future
Over the coming weeks, supporters will begin to notice significant changes taking shape around the ground. The new pathway being constructed will run alongside the pitch perimeter, improving access, safety and the overall matchday experience for supporters, players and officials.
Groundwork has also begun on the hard standing base that will form the foundations for the club’s future spectator stand and entrance area. These structural improvements are an important step in preparing the ground for the next stage of the club’s development.
The work is being carried out by Goodyear Garden and Landscaping Ltd, whose efforts have already begun transforming parts of the site. Using specialist machinery and careful groundwork preparation, the new pathways are being shaped, edged and compacted to ensure they are durable and ready for years of use.
A Club Moving Forward
The improvements at The Daly Ground are part of a wider vision to continue developing Whitehill & Bordon FC both on and off the pitch. The current works mark another milestone in that journey and demonstrate the club’s commitment to building facilities capable of supporting its ambitions.
While promotion is always earned on the pitch, the infrastructure around the club must also meet the required standards. These upgrades are therefore an important step in ensuring that, when the opportunity comes, Whitehill & Bordon FC will be ready.
The future is bright at The Daly Ground, and this week’s work marks the beginning of another exciting chapter for the club.
Supporters can follow the progress over the coming weeks as we continue to share updates and photos from the project. 💚⚽
