Whitehill & Bordon FC 1-3 Locks Heath
Hampshire Premier League Cup
Whitehill & Bordon FC bowed out of the Hampshire Premier League Cup after a hard-fought afternoon at The Daly Ground, where visitors Locks Heath edged a competitive tie.
The Stags started brightly and were rewarded for their positive opening when Dean Worman put us ahead, finishing well after a good spell of pressure. The lead lifted the home crowd, and for a time Whitehill looked the stronger side.
Locks Heath, however, grew into the game and struck back with two goals late in the first half. The turnaround meant the Stags went into the break trailing 1–2, despite a determined performance.
The second half was closely contested, with both teams battling for control and chances limited at either end. Whitehill & Bordon pushed hard for an equaliser and stayed firmly in the contest, but the visitors managed to find a decisive third goal late on to seal their place in the next round.
Despite the result, it was a committed display from the Stags, who continued to compete right to the final whistle. Attention now turns back to league action and building on the positives from today’s performance.
