Whitehill & Bordon FC 3-2 Bournemouth Electric

Hampshire Saturday Trophy

Whitehill & Bordon FC booked their place in the next round of the Hampshire Saturday Trophy with a hard-fought 3–2 win over Bournemouth Electric at a rain-soaked Daly Ground.

The visitors took a narrow lead into the break after opening the scoring midway through the first half. Despite plenty of effort from the Stags, they couldn’t quite find the breakthrough before half-time and trailed 0–1 at the interval.

After the restart, Whitehill & Bordon came out with renewed energy and got their reward when Oli Graham pulled the side level with a well-taken finish. Bournemouth Electric hit back quickly to restore their lead, but the Stags refused to give in.

James McKay equalised with a smart finish before striking again soon after to complete the comeback and put Whitehill & Bordon ahead for the first time in the match.

With the rain pouring down in the closing stages, the lads dug deep and showed real determination to hold off the visitors and secure a deserved win.

A battling cup performance full of spirit, resilience, and quality in front of goal — and another great afternoon at the Daly Ground.
