Whitehill & Bordon FC 3-2 Locks Heath
Hampshire Premier League
Whitehill & Bordon FC kicked off the New Year in the best possible way with a hard-fought home victory on a bright but bitterly cold afternoon at The Daly Ground, watched by a fantastic crowd of 60+ supporters who braved the conditions.
Locks Heath started strongly and took the lead, forcing the hosts to dig in early. Whitehill & Bordon responded well, showing patience and resilience, and were rewarded when Steve Black found the net to bring the scores level after a positive spell of pressure.
The visitors edged back in front in the second half, but once again the Stags refused to lie down. The equaliser arrived through Toby Fuller, who finished well to make it 2–2 and lift both the team and the home support.
With momentum firmly on their side, Whitehill & Bordon pushed on in search of a winner. The decisive moment came when Ollie Graham scored what proved to be the winning goal. Despite strong protests from the visitors, the goal was correctly judged to be onside, sparking celebrations around the ground.
It was exactly the kind of performance you want in the first game of the year — full of character, togetherness, and belief. A vital three points and a strong statement of intent as the Stags look to kick off 2026 the way they mean to go on.
A huge thank you to everyone who came down to support the team — your backing made all the difference on a freezing but memorable afternoon at The Daly Ground. 🦌❤️💙
