Whitehill & Bordon FC 1-0 Silchester FC– Match Report

Hampshire Premier League Cup – Saturday 6th September 2025 | Oakmoor School 3G

Whitehill & Bordon FC booked their place in the next round of the Hampshire Premier League Cup with a hard-fought 1–0 win over Silchester FC on a warm and dry September afternoon at Oakmoor School.

The decisive moment came midway through the first half when JMac was brought down in the area. Ali Gill stepped up and made no mistake from the spot, confidently slotting the penalty home to give the Stags the lead.

From there, the game proved to be a tight contest. Silchester pressed hard in spells, but Whitehill & Bordon stayed disciplined, working tirelessly across the pitch to protect their advantage. Strong defensive organisation and a committed team effort ensured the visitors were kept at bay.

It may not have been a game filled with goals, but the result was exactly what mattered — progression in the cup, another clean sheet, and a performance that showed the team’s resilience and determination.
