The Stags celebrate after winning the ADFA Saturday Intermediate Cup, May 2026

Whitehill & Bordon FC are ADFA Saturday Intermediate Cup winners after a superb second-half comeback sealed a 1-2 victory over Binfield Dev FC.

It wasn't straightforward. Binfield were sharp from the off and took a well-taken lead, going into the half-time break the better side and looking in control of the final.

But the Stags regrouped, and manager Daniel Zubiena made a change that would define the afternoon. Dean Worman came off the bench at the interval and turned the game — scoring with a header beyond the Binfield keeper and draw the sides level.

The momentum had shifted, and Bordon pressed for the winner. It came from the spot. Worman stepped up, held his nerve, and slotted the penalty home to complete a stunning individual contribution and send the travelling support into wild celebrations.

The full-time whistle sparked scenes the club won't forget in a hurry.

Champagne was sprayed across the pitch, smoke flares filled the air in blue and white, and the cup was lifted by the squad to the cheers of everyone who had made the journey.

It's a fitting end to the season and a moment that means a great deal to everyone at the club — players, management, volunteers and supporters alike. Days like this are what Whitehill & Bordon FC is built for.
