Andover Town FC 1-1 Whitehill & Bordon FC

Whitehill & Bordon FC were denied all three points in dramatic circumstances as Andover Town struck with the final kick of the game to secure a 1–1 draw.

The first half was a competitive and closely fought contest, with both sides battling for control but unable to break the deadlock. Defences held firm, and clear-cut chances were limited as the teams went into the break level at 0–0.

However, the first half was overshadowed by a serious injury to an Andover Town player, which resulted in a lengthy stoppage of approximately 20 minutes. Everyone at Whitehill & Bordon FC sends their best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

The Stags found the breakthrough in the second half when Ryan Davis gave Whitehill & Bordon the lead. It was a deserved reward for their efforts as they began to take control of the game. Whitehill looked set to see the match out and secure an important away victory, managing the game well as time ticked on.

Andover continued to push forward in stoppage time and, with the final kick of the game, found an equaliser to make it 1–1. It was a frustrating end for the Stags, who had put themselves in a strong position, but ultimately had to settle for a point.

Despite the late setback, there were positives to take from a disciplined away performance, with Whitehill showing organisation, resilience, and quality for large periods of the match.
