Whitehill & Bordon FC 4-1 Liss Athletic

Whitehill & Bordon FC claimed a deserved three points on Saturday with a convincing 4–1 victory over local rivals Liss Athletic, after a venue change ensured the fixture could go ahead despite heavy rainfall in the build-up.

With recent weather making grass pitches unplayable, the game was moved to the 3G pitch at Oakmoor School, allowing both sides to get the match on — a decision that proved crucial as the Stags delivered an impressive performance.

Whitehill & Bordon took the lead in the first half through Henry Hunter, who produced an excellent strike to put the hosts ahead. The Stags continued to press and were rewarded again when George Worman doubled the advantage, finishing from a well-worked corner routine to make it 2–0 at the break.

The momentum carried into the second half, and Ryan Davis made it three with a composed finish, putting Whitehill firmly in control. Liss Athletic responded by pulling a goal back, briefly threatening a comeback, but the Stags stayed focused and managed the game well.

Any doubt was removed when Shayne Warren completed the scoring, restoring the three-goal cushion and sealing a strong all-round team performance.

A solid display at both ends of the pitch capped off a positive afternoon for Whitehill & Bordon, who showed quality, organisation, and resilience — and made the most of the conditions to secure all three points.

Just say 👍🎥 Thanks to everyone who came down to support the lads and everyone who continues to back the club week in, week out. 🦌❤️💙
